Kilei zera'im: ginger and tumeric

Can turmeric and ginger be planted in the same planter together? Or do I need to create a physical barrier?

Turmeric and ginger are different vegetables, and thus must be separated by at least 12 cm. If you space them like this, they may be in the same planter. Alternatively, you may insert a barrier 80 cm high.
